Ladies and gentlemen, I join you as your Mayor this morning to report to you on the state of our city.

The state of our city is strong, and growing stronger

“Woodstock Proud”, is a series of conversations where we meet and celebrate the people that have built the businesses and organizations that daily impact this vibrant community.

New Woodstock Mayor Michael Caldwell will deliver the State of the City address at two events later in January.

WOODSTOCK — A packed Chambers at City Center saw Woodstock Mayor Michael Caldwell sworn in as the city's executive officer Monday.

The City of Woodstock will hold a swearing in ceremony on Monday, Jan. 10 at The Chambers at City Center in downtown Woodstock. Mayor-Elect Michael Caldwell, Ward 1 Council Member Warren Johnson, Ward 3 Council Member Colin Ake, and Ward 5 Council Member Brian Wolfe will be sworn in during the ceremony to serve four-year terms that began Jan. 1.

We have great work ahead. It’s a call worth heeding. Woodstock calls itself “a city unexpected.” Let’s make sure we’re ready for whatever the next chapter in this surprising city holds, and let’s leave our children a city worth having.

A swearing-in ceremony for Caldwell and returning council members Warren Johnson, Colin Ake and Brian Wolfe is scheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 10, at the Chambers at City Center, 8534 Main St. in Woodstock.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for selecting me to serve as the 31st mayor of the City of Woodstock. I am grateful, and I intend to give it my all.

Among many awards and proclamations, Henriques was given a key to the city by Mayor-Elect Michael Caldwell.

“I’m grateful to Mayor Henriques for his years of outstanding service, and I’m honored to have the support of our city,” Caldwell said in a city statement.

“I’m grateful to Mayor (Donnie) Henriques for his years of outstanding service, and I’m honored to have the support of our city,” Caldwell said in a statement. “Let’s get to work and keep Woodstock the very best city in America to live, work, and play!”

Michael Caldwell is a family man, successful entrepreneur, business owner, and Woodstock’s former, four-term member of the Georgia House of Representatives. He and his young family live in DTWN WDSTK and he relishes his walk to work each morning. Michael has a passion to continue to uphold Woodstock as one of the best cities in America to live, work, and play. Enjoy the interview!
